An ode to family values. Sneak peek pics inside.

It's true. I have a lot of family values. Growing up in a household of seven children really makes you appreciate the small things. One of those things being the value of something previously loved. My mom and dad worked their buns off to provide for their family, but that's not to say we didn't re-use, reduce and recycle when we could. My dad always seemed to find a way to create new beautiful things from old junk and my brothers were incredibly smart when it came to building and fixing things on their own.

I'm lucky to have such a large family who supports me and my business. One day last spring, my brother Lorne trekked through all the salvage at his farm yard to find me an amazing antique barn table.

Check out my brother Lorne making his way across a sea of junk to find our jewel.

Here's a close up of the table. It has been restored to preserve its original design and colour from 100 years ago! Amazing!

It's been an exciting experience having my family involved with the discovery of salvageable art and home decor. They are just as thrilled as I when a piece is rescued and given a new loving home.

Find this table and many more one-of-a-kind pieces at our Cooper Hall event in Calgary on October 3rd & 4th.  Join the Facebook group here.

Hope to see you there!
